Tell us a little about yourself?

I am 24 years old, born and raised in Cape Town.  I have a strong passion for sports and the fitness lifestyle. I LOVE animals – especially dogs and lions. I am an ambassador for Four Paws International and I love being able to do something for our fury friends.

Job title?

Recruitment consultant for CA Finance

Why choose to work at CA Global?

CA Global is a big and uprising company – it has grown so vastly and continues to do so. It has so much potential for me and I believe that growth is important both for myself and the company which I choose to work for.

Academic background?

I attended both Milnerton Primary and Milnerton High, after that I went on to receive my Professional Diploma in fashion photography – which I absolutely love, a film camera is my favourite form of technology.  I look to hopefully further my studies in the future with something in sports as well as medicine.

Fun fact about yourself?

I dance and play the drums.

Who is your role model and why?

A little different to most. I am my own role model. In the end, you are the only one you can truly trust. Some may say this is cynical; I think it’s realistic. Once I began looking up to myself, I forgave more easily. I moved forward. To become your best, you have to become your worst. I believe that no-one else can assist you on that journey

Advice for clients/candidates?

Candidates: Know what you are looking for within life as a whole – not right now for a certain gain or distraction. Once you know what your goal in life is, your goal right now will fall into place. Become open to the opportunities you get given and take it with open hands. Candidates need to know that it takes a flight of stairs to get to the next level, one step only leads you 1% of the way, if you stop there and doubt you have missed 99% of your opportunity for growth.

Clients need to realise that there are many people taking the same flight of stairs and any person who enters the next level could potentially be the right fit whether it took a day or a month to get there.

Which country within Africa do you think will be the next hot spot and why?

Ghana and Tanzania are both doing well economically, Ghana’s oil count is picking up by the hour and Tanzania is an AMAZING tourist destination that is rising in popularity.

What is your outlook within your industry over the next 5 years?

Recruitment is an up and down business – People are always looking for jobs but companies aren’t always hiring. Within the next 5 years I feel recruitment will however pick up, as every day the percentage rate of unemployment goes up and companies no longer want to deal with all the admin work that goes into receiving CV’s.

CA Global is a big believer in Africa, why do YOU believe in Africa?

I am African – I have always had a strong passion for my heritage and I love diversity. Africa is a country with so much potential to deliver and fight adversity. I believe in change and I know this country will rise with all its strengths and weaknesses. I have a quote I love by Kwame (Ghanaian politician and revolutionary) ‘I am an African, not because I was born in Africa, but because Africa was born in me’.
